New Years Eve morning

Good Morning! Ok, now I have nothing to say. I signed on, created a new blog, typed the heading and now I am sitting here thinking...."what the hell has happened to me in the last few days?" NOT MUCH.

Chris and I did spend the day together on Monday. We went to lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. That place has yummy salads. After that we went to the book store. I bought a copy of short stories by F.Scott Fitzgerald. I bought it for the short story of "the curious case of Benjamin Button" I have not read it yet. I am still reading "Body Surfing" by Anita Shreve. It's very good and would love to just lay around today and read....not that I would do that if I had the day off. After the book store we went to target. Chris needed new sheets cause he ruined another pair. He flips and flops so much during the night that he rips holes in the sheets with his feet.....one of the reasons I sleep in the other room now. When we got home we finished laundry and cleaned the house. It was an uneventful day but it was nice. The weather was perfect!! Sunny but cool, my favorite.

I went into work yesterday for a few hours. I had some regulars that wanted to get in before today. I only worked from 12 to 5. Wish I could make my own hours everyday. One of these days I will go rent a space and I can make my own hours.

After work last night I met Nancy and Steve for dinner. We tried a new place called Fresh Mint. It is a vegetarian thi restaurant. It was pretty good. They don't have a liquor license so we brought in our own wine. That was a very nice time. I would go back there again. They had the BEST peanut sauce I have ever had and that is what I love most about asian food...the sauces.

Well that is all for now. Wish there were more. Maybe tomorrow I will big stories about the wild night of partying ahead. It being NEW YEARS EVE and all...........the most boring night of the year!!!

SUNDAY night

Ok, so I am drinking a glass of wine! I came home from the movies tonight and when I walked in the house I got in a bad mood. So I did what most every women who has a house that is messy and cramps I opened up a bottle! And I am happy...hell, I don't work tomorrow!

We went and saw "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". It was so good. Very long but so good. It is one of the better movies I have seen in a long time. I also had a good cry and I always enjoy those. Pris, Chris and myself went. Pris loved it as much as I did. I think Chris got a little bored....it is a love story. I want someone else to see it now so I can talk about it. I am going to go to the book store and look up the short story by F.Scott Fitzgerald. I am sure it will be quite a bit different from the original because this story was brought up to current times.
I want to go to another movie tomorrow but I guess I should really stay home and clean and finish the laundry. Staying home tomorrow with no place to go sounds pretty good actually.
We had a nice time at Dee's brunch today. Mostly just people from the salon were there, the spa people did not really join us. Maybe next year they will. I guess they are mad at Dee for making the changes that she did but I say "fuck em". She is the spa director now (she used to just be the salon supervisor so we are used to her rules) and she needs to run it the way she thinks she should. The economy has hurt it quite a bit so it would be nice if she could turn things around.

SUNDAY

Good Morning! Well for some reason this work week seemed to take forever. I worked for like 4 hours on Wednesday, had Thursday off and had to work Friday and Saturday....why the hell was I so tired by Saturday night? I guess cause there was so much going on that I never rested.
I have decided I have to really make a conscious effort to stop drinking wine during the week. Let me tell you why: I noticed I sleep 100 times better when I don't have any. Last night Chris and I went for Mexican food and I had a diet coke came home and decided the wine I was going to drink I did not need. I slept like a baby. Lately I have been sleeping like total shit and I know it's cause I have been OVER indulging so much. So, next time I come home from work and say to myself "A glass of wine would sure help me relax" I will remember this epiphany
and maybe I will lose weight too!
Today, my boss Dee, is having her annual Christmas brunch and I have to be there around 10:30. It is always a nice time. I am always amazed at the people that don't show up. I don't get it. I guess I am just such a social person that I can't understand why some others are not. I like getting together outside of work with people.....not all the time, just for stuff like this. It gives you a different perspective of them. You find out that they are not always winy negative people I see in the break room. You see them for the nice people they mostly are and that, at least for me, makes it easier not to slap them during the year. I sound very social don't I?

The 26th!

I am so glad Christmas is over. Now I have to get through New Years and things can go back to normal. I have been doing way too much over indulging. It needs to end.

I have to go to work and I think I have a pretty easy day. I am just not ready. Hell, I only worked for a few hours on Tuesday you would think I have nothing to bitch about BUT I do.

Chris is in Tucson visiting his Mom. I think he is going Golfing today and won't come home til Saturday. It is weird sleeping in the house alone. I don't like it too much.

Yesterday I went to Pris' house. I made a ham to take. I have never made one before. It is pretty easy but it did take a long time. Almost three hours. It was good. We had a good time at Pris'. We always do. We pretty much sit in the dining room for 4 hours talking. Judy came over with her son so it was nice to see her.

Ok, I really have nothing else to say.

Tonight Chris and I went out to dinner for our Christmas celebration. We always do it on the 23rd because he goes to Tucson and I go to Betty's. We went to one of our favorite italian places: Joey's Bistro. It is always good and not too terribly expensive. I had a really good Chicken Picata and he had chicken alfredo. I also had two glasses of wine so I am feeling a bit buzzy. What else is new. We did not exchange presents this year and that is ok. Usually we eat at home and open presents and that is always fun but I don't really miss it. We have been so fortunate to get to travel and that is what is important. Hopefully we will get that 47 inch flat screen LCD tv soon.
Well that is all. Tomorrow is back at work but only til 2:00 and then I will be going to Betty's around 6pm. I am spending the night. Hopefully I will get some pictures so I can post them. That seems to be the best way to blog for me.

Tuesday

I am up early today. I fell asleep last night around 9:30pm and so here I am, up, on the computer. Chris left for work a little while ago and I really don't have much to do today. I have to fold some towels and go to a few stores. I am going to wait to go shopping til Chris comes home. He has done nothing yet. I don't think he even knows what to get his mom. Christmas really did sneak up on both of us. We are supposed to go out for dinner tonight cause it is our night to celebrate. We are not exchanging but I did get him an electric blanket. He loves to sleep in a cold room with lots of covers. He has the celing fan blowing, a floor fan blowing and for some reason our bedroom stays really cold. I gave it to him last night cause it was pretty chilly here. I think he enjoyed it, I forgot to ask him.
I have cramps and expect to start my period soon. Damnit, when will menapause start so I can get this shit over with.

I am really glad the weekend is here. I am sooo ready for it. I know, I say that every weekend but this week I mean it even more.

Not much interesting happened. I was busy most everyday but Thursday. Today was crazy and so was yesterday.

Tomorrow I have to do laundry as usual but I really have to clean cause Greg and Jeff are coming over for wine and cheese. My friend Nancy and her husband and I am also hoping Betty comes. I have not called Pris but Greg said he will mention it. I am also pretty sure Nathan will come too.

Well I don't have much to say. I am really PMSing cause pretty much everything Chris is doing or saying tonight makes me want to cut his throat! I need some more wine!
