Tuesday 2/24

Well I am blogging again. I can't believe it's been two weeks. I was looking at my past blogs and I am not seeing dates so I thought I would include it now cause of course I could not really figure out how to add it and I lost patience.
Chris' birthday was on Valentines day. We had a nice evening. He got me some lovely tulips and chocolates. I took him out to Valle Luna that night because everything is so busy every where else. On Sunday night we went to Benihanna's. His mom and stepdad came up from Tucson. My friends Nancy and Steve came. Kirk was there and so was my friend Craig. We had a wonderful time. I really think we need to get big groups together more often and go out. Benihana's is awfully expensive but we don't have to go there.

I worked on Sunday so I have off til Thursday. It is so nice not to have to go in tomorrow. I love it!

Last night I went to Book Club. Our new book this month is Sara's Keys. It is about Jews during the Holocaust. I will tell you more when I get it in the mail. I ordered it from Amazon today.

Well that is all for now.

Friday

I don't really have too much to say again today but I have some time so I thought I would add a new post.
Yesterday was very slow at work again. I am busy today but slow again tomorrow. I have not been hit too hard by this bad economy yet and I am sure hoping this is just a bad week. It worries me to think how bad it can get. I depend on rich people! I am so thankful Chris and I did not sell this townhouse and move to a more expensive home. I was very close to doing it a few years ago. At least I know if things get too bad we can both afford this place. There is not much I can do about it except try not to spend too much money right now.....which adds to the bad economy since everyone else is doing the same thing.
I was supposed to babysit last night and she canceled. I was not disappointed about not having to go over there, it was nice coming home and having dinner with Chris but I was kindof counting on the money. Oh well, I will make more this Saturday night. I also have a customer that asked me to come to her house this weekend to do a mani/pedi on her sister. My Customer, Krista, has been going thru Chemo and her sister is here this week to help her out (she had another round of chemo this week and it is always hardest on her right after) and she does not think her sister will leave her to come over and get a service so she thought it would be nice to have me over. Which I am all for cause then I get to keep all the money and not split it with the Spa. But I need to learn not to count on the money til I have it in my hands. We will see what happens.

Thursday

Another day in Paradise. The weather has been so pretty here lately it does not seem fair to be at work....plus yesterday was so slow!!!!!!! I did get to have my hair done professionally for a change and boy does it look good. Jenny colored it yesterday and and put highlights in. I just keep looking at it and say "it's so pretty" Well, if it stays this slow at work it should not be a problem to get someone to color it. I also got my face waxed. I have become really addicted to not having a mustache. I even have her go in and wax the inside of my nose....just around the nostrils. I love having them do my eyebrows too. On a sad note....I needed my chin done alittle too!!!!!!
Last night I went to the Wine tasting at Bacchus with Linda. She is a client but also teaches spin and muscle conditioning classes so she is also an coworker and friend. we had a good time. We are going to try to do that together once a month.

Well that is all for now. Tonight I will be babysitting so at least I will make some money this week!!!!!!

Tuesday night

Hello.
Well my weekend is over for this week. It was a nice one but pretty uneventful. I am sorry I can not say the Cardinals won the super bowl. It was a fun game and thankfully they did not get creamed and I am hearing it was one of the most exciting Super Bowls in history. I actually think I might be enjoying football alittle bit. I have come to understand some of it. I am sure by next season I will have not interest but it was kindof fun while it lasted.
Monday Chris and I went to breakfast and to the mall. We really did not do much. I am reading "Jane Eyre" right now and I have been reading alot the last few days. I am going to try to read a few more of the classics. Even though I did not love "Madame Bovary" I think I want to read more. I have "Pride and Prejudice" to read and I think I want to read "Wuthering Heights" We are reading the "Jane Austen Book Club" for our monthly book club but I am not sure I will read it. Maybe I will borrow it from my sister Pris. She told me she has read it and it was ok. We picked that book because the last few months all the books were so dark.
Today I went to yoga and then read all afternoon. This is a good thing since I have been watching way too much TV and the last few days I have not.
Tomorrow I am going to a wine tasting at Bacchus Wine Studio with my friend Linda. Thursday I am sitting for Sheila and then again on Saturday.
Not much else to say.

addition to last post

I meant to answer your question about the wine Patricia but I forgot and I have no idea how to go back an edit this blog....aol was much easier in so many ways. Anyway.....I have no idea what the vineyard was for the wine tastings. I am one of those people that just goes to taste. Some people sit there and jot down notes about the wines and really get into it. I just enjoy the wines. I hardly ever buy a bottle of wine more that $10 or $12, and usually not even that much.

Wow Thursday already

Good Morning. I had a really nice weekend. It seems weired to talk about it now since it have been over for a day.
Sunday I went to see "Revolutionary Road" with Betty for her birthday. We went to lunch first at Wildflower Bread company. I sat outside for a bit while I was waiting for her. It was so beautiful. It has actually gotten a little chilly again the last few days but that day was perfect. Sunny with a cool breeze, my favorite. Anyway, the movie was just OK. I really was not blown away with it at all. It was about two very dysfunctional people who were very unhappy. The acting was very good though.
Monday Chris and I went on a hike at Lookout Mountain. It was either a really tough hike or a was super tired. I did not enjoy it like I usually do. After that I had to go to a private yoga session with Harmony. I was so tired but I think that saved me cause I was not a sore from the hike as I think I would have been. I had book club Monday night. That is always a nice evening. We read "The Road" this month. It is a bleak, dark book but was very good. They are making a movie that should be released soon.
Tuesday I did not wake up til 8:30. It felt good to sleep but I am always so spacey for a while after I get up so late. Anyway, I went to the movies with Layne that afternoon to see "Slumdog Millionaire" . This movie is getting so much acclaim and everyone was saying how wonderful it is I think it ruined it for me a bit. I was not overly impressed with that one too. It was good but I just think I was expecting to be blown away and I was not.
"The Reader" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" were my favorites lately.
I am babysitting tonight. Not much more to say about that. In fact not much more to say about anything.

Thursday

Monday I went t othe movis and saw "The reader". It was so good. I could not stop thinking about it for hours. I am still thinking about it.
Tuesday Chris and I met Joe and Sara for lunch. We met in Scottsdale at Chili's. It was just nice to sit there and talk to them. I need to make sure that happens more often.
Last night I met Tammy for a wine tasting. It was a nice little wine bar in Scottsdale. They did not pour nearly as heavy as the tasting I went to last week....which was good cause I had to drive home. I bought a bottle to take to Nancy and Steves this weekend. They are having us over for dinner.
Well, that is all for now!
